David L. Houry is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art,
with a 5-year BFA in Digital Arts and a Minor in Drawing.

His focus is good storytelling through animation, filmmaking, and comics.

His animated short film, "Paper Shepherd" won Best Animated Film at Dragon*Con 2008 and placed as a regional finalist for the 2008 Student Academy Awards.

Currently, David is employed as an Artist III at IGT in Reno, NV.

Here's me with my certificate at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago,
for a public screening of the Region 2 finalists in the 2008 Student Academy Awards!

I was treated to a wonderful tour of their facilities
and got to view some really provocative work.
(I highly recommend "As We Forgive" and "The State of Sunshine".)
